FIELD: aircrafts.
SUBSTANCE: proposed apparatus relates to space transport vehicles for multiple application and can be used in the field of aviation for time-conserving intercontinental flights. Proposed is an aircraft for intercontinental flights in the stratosphere, consisting of a fuselage with wings, a payload, vertical stabilisers, landing gears, front and back controlling horizontal planes, rocket or air-rocket engines on air and oxygen, characterised by containing an upper stage, returnable to the launch site, in the form of an oval wing encircling the fuselage with gas turbine engines secured thereon, configured to accelerate the aircraft to the flight speeds of Mp = 1 to 2 (wherein Mp = Vp/a, Vp is the flight speed and a is the speed of sound), with fuselage engine fairings installed, wherein two fuel tanks are fixed at the ends of the oval wing, wherein each tank is with two landing gears, a vertical stabiliser and a controlling horizontal surface directed outward.
EFFECT: increase in the payload coefficient of the aircraft for intercontinental flights in the stratosphere, reduction in the takeoff time of the aircraft, and expansion of the range of technical means for performing long-distance flights.
