SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control of network segment configuration updates. The method for updating the network segment configuration by means of user equipment (UE) registered in a public land mobile network (PLMN) includes the stages of: upon receiving the information on updating signed network segments, setting (S204) a specific flag for the first visited public land mobile network (VPLMN) by means of the UE at a certain value; in the process of registration in the first VPLMN, determining (S206) whether the specific flag is set to a certain value. Sending (S208) a notification by means of the UE to the first access and mobility functional block (AMF) in the first VPLMN, indicating that the first AMF is supposed to provide the configured network segment selection assistance information, NSSAI, for the first VPLMN to the UE. At the stage of receiving the information on updating the signed network segments, a message is received by means of the UE, transmitted by means of the second AMF, containing a parameter explicitly indicating that the signed network segments are updated.
EFFECT: possibility of maintaining the current information on the configured network segments.
