FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: packing roller includes a drum structure containing a row of coaxial disks connected with longitudinal grinding knives extending from one of the ends to the opposite end along the main axis of the drum structure. The grinding knives define the inner space of the drum structure, accessible through the holes made between the grinding knives. The drum structure is configured to turn around the main axis and is equipped with a fixed inner scraper located radially in the inner space of the drum structure at a distance from the grinding knives. The fixed inner scraper is configured to interact with the grinding knives so that the radial distance between the radially inner edge of the knife/knives and the radially outer edge of the scraper is reduced to no more than 2.5 cm. At least one end, preferably both ends of the fixed inner scraper in the inner space of the drum structure of the packing roller is/are connected with fixed cylindrical pin/pins of the packing roller by means of an elastic element. The elastic element is made in form of a flexible, primarily C-shaped spring allowing for flexible rotation and/or radial movement in the inner space of the packing roller when a larger lump or piece of stone or wood is stuck between the scraper and the knife interacting therewith.

EFFECT: increased efficiency during operation of the packing roller and operational safety are ensured.
