FIELD: powder metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, in particular to a method for producing highly porous cellular materials. It can be used in the production of catalyst carriers, filters, radiating elements of radiation burners, elements of light structures operating at high temperatures in oxidizing environments. A coating is applied to a blank made of foamed nickel by impregnation with a suspension containing, wt. %: nickel alloy powder 85-86, binder the rest. Nickel alloy powder containing, wt. %: 58-63 nickel, 20-23 chromium, 8-10 molybdenum, 3.15-4.15 niobium, 5-6 iron, with a particle size of 60 mcm is used. And as a binder, a 7% solution of polyvinyl alcohol is used. After impregnation, the workpiece is dried, and sintering is carried out in vacuum at 1320-1325°C.

EFFECT: increase in heat resistance is provided.
