SUBSTANCE: invention relates to air ducts used, in particular, in commercial and residential buildings. Device (10) for forming spiral-wound air duct (14) from flat strip (2) contains forming device (6), including bending section (7), connecting section (8), feeding device (11) for feeding strip (2) in direction (F), and cutting device (1). Cutting device (1) is located along the course, above forming device (6), and it contains cutting head (3) for cutting strip (2) and means of movement that ensure the movement of cutting head (3) along axes (X, Y, Z) of movement orthogonal to each other. Control unit (18) is provided for means of movement in accordance with diameter (D) of manufactured air duct (14) and width (B) of strip (2). Cutting head (3) performs in strip (2) a set of arrays (12) of holes (13), each of which is inclined relatively to one of longitudinal edges (9) of strip (2) by an angle (α), which is a function of width (B) of strip (2) and diameter (D) of manufactured spiral air duct (14).
EFFECT: air duct with improved airflow distribution is provided.
