FIELD: communication network protection.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of systems for protecting communication networks for various purposes from information and technical influences and can be used to build protection systems against group heterogeneous computer attacks for the medium term. The expected result is achieved by predicting the development of the quantitative and qualitative composition of computer attacks for the medium term, modeling computer attacks with specified parameters, on the basis of which a list of subsystems of the communication element protection system against computer attacks is determined, then based on the simulation results, the aforementioned protection system is formed, after which the effects of group heterogeneous computer attacks are simulated, the security of the communication element is evaluated and, if necessary, the composition of the protection system is clarified. After selecting the composition of the communication element protection system that meets the requirement, the composition of the mentioned system is clarified, taking into account the funds invested in the composition of this system.
EFFECT: increase in the security of communication network elements from group heterogeneous computer attacks in the medium term due to a reasonable choice of subsystems of the system for protecting communication network elements from computer attacks, taking into account the change in the quantitative and qualitative composition of computer attacks used in the medium term, assessing the ability of subsystems of the computer attack protection system to counteract group computer attacks.
