SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the oil industry, in particular to flange connections. The method for fastening a flange connection with studs with segment elements includes making studs, installing on a support flange with holes of a wellhead flange with holes through a metal sealing ring, aligning the holes of the wellhead and supporting flanges, installing studs in the holes of the supporting and wellhead flanges, tightening the studs with nuts. The length of the studs is determined according to the given mathematical relationship. Blind holes are made at the lower end of the studs, threads are cut along the entire outer surface of the studs with a pitch of 2.5 mm, segment elements with a threaded hole in the center are made as lower nuts, tapered grooves are made at the lower end of the threaded holes of the segment elements, the number of segment elements is equal to the number of pins, the outer diameter of the segment element is determined by the given mathematical relationship. The outer circumference of the segment element and the inner circumference of each segment are determined. The lower end of the stud is screwed into the threaded holes of the segment elements, after which the blind holes of the studs are expanded. From below, studs with segment elements are inserted alternately into the aligned holes of the support and wellhead flanges, and nuts are screwed onto the studs from above, the upper row of nuts is tightened with a wrench, while the segment elements of the studs form a ring, the central axis of the threaded hole in the segment elements is located on the center-to-center the diameter of the holes in the support and wellhead flanges, which excludes turning the studs while tightening the nuts. A device for fastening a flange connection with studs with segment elements is applied.

EFFECT: reducing the duration of fastening the flange joint by simplifying the device and the process of assembling the flange joint, increasing the tightness of the flange joint.
