FIELD: resins.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for producing unsaturated polyester resins. The method includes manufacturing a reaction mixture, including at the following molar ratio of components: diethylene glycol - 1.1, 2,5-furandicarboxylic acid - 0.26 to 0.33, and maleic anhydride - 0.67 to 0.74, heating the resulting reaction mixture to 200°C and sustaining at this temperature until the acid index value reaches 40 to 50, cooling to a temperature of 90 to 100°C and introducing hydroquinone as a stabiliser, mixing, and introducing 30 wt.% of styrene for subsequent hardening.
EFFECT: described method provides a possibility of producing unsaturated polyester resins capable of hardening in the cold and exhibiting increased thermal and mechanical characteristics.
