FIELD: testing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a testing tool for testing the operation of a control apparatus for the steering drive of a plane, such as a testing apparatus for the apparatus for detecting a fault in the main load path. The testing apparatus for testing a sensorless control apparatus of the drive comprises a rod for contact with the drive surface connected with the pin of the control apparatus; a rod spring for pressing the rod to the drive surface; and an adjusting and testing mechanism. The rod spring is weaker than the elastic return mechanism of the control apparatus. The sensorless control apparatus is therein configured to be used by mechanically moving the pin of the control apparatus from the idle position to the actuation position, and then releasing the pin of the control apparatus to return to the idle position, impacted by the elastic return mechanism.

EFFECT: manufacture of a testing tool suitable for testing the operation of a control apparatus for the steering drive of a plane.
