FIELD: powder metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of powder metallurgy; it can be used in the formation of functional coatings on the surface of metal parts. A device contains a matrix holder with a matrix, upper and lower punches, a cylindrical rod, an upper fixed plate and a lower plate with guide bushings. Guide bushings are fixed in the matrix holder, in which guide columns are installed. The matrix is equipped with an insertion ring element made of anti-adhesive material. The lower punch is fixed on the lower plate coaxially to the matrix. The upper punch is fixed on the upper fixed plate coaxially to the matrix and the lower punch and is made in the form of a hollow cylinder, in the cavity of which a cylindrical rod is placed. The rod is equipped with an insertion element made of anti-adhesive material. In the upper punch, there are inlet and outlet valve reducers for supplying inert gas to the sintering zone of powder material.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to apply powder functional coating to end surfaces of the part by hot pressing in an inert gas medium.
