FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering and can be used in aviation in pulsed detonation engines (PDE) to obtain traction and ensure the movement of civil transport systems (cargo delivery to hard-to-reach areas, assistance in emergency situations, etc.). It is proposed to make a bypass compartment in a valveless detonation tube of a pulsed detonation engine containing at least two bypass belts, each of which contains perforated walls and casings, fuel injectors should be placed in the cross section of the detonation tube between the 1st and 2nd, counting from the entrance compartment, bypass belts, and also additionally use an automatic fuel injection control device with the termination of fuel injection when the detonation wave approaches and the resumption of fuel injection when the local flow temperature drops below the auto-ignition temperature.
EFFECT: achieving stable cyclic operation of a valveless DT and ensuring effective damping of the resulting shock waves with the conversion of the pulse carried by the waves into the thrust of the PDE, due to the occurrence of a longitudinal force applied to the surface of the bypass casings of the DT.
