FIELD: inorganic chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of inorganic chemistry, namely to the separation of natural gas components by gas hydrate crystallization, and can be used to remove carbon dioxide from natural gas. The method for removing carbon dioxide from natural gas includes the formation of carbon dioxide gas hydrates at a pressure of 2.0 to 8.0 MPa and a temperature of 273 to 278 K and their subsequent decomposition to form a carbon dioxide concentrate. A natural gas stream with a 6-10-fold molar excess of water relative to the molar concentration of hydrate-forming gases in natural gas is fed into the gas hydrate crystallizer. The components of natural gas that have not passed into the gas hydrate phase are removed from the gas hydrate crystallizer. The formed gas hydrates are taken by a screw into the separation module for destruction into water and carbon dioxide concentrate at an increase in temperature from 293 to 323 K. The remaining components of natural gas are taken out for processing.
EFFECT: increase in the degree of removal of carbon dioxide from natural gas.
