FIELD: naval technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for hydroacoustic counteraction, in particular to submarine simulation for the purpose of training ship acoustics, personnel of hydroacoustic stations, conducting naval exercises and testing new forces and means of anti-submarine defense. Submarine simulation during the exercises consists in the formation of primary and secondary acoustic fields of the simulated submarine by a group of self-propelled underwater vehicles, each of which forms its own part of the acoustic field and moves in a given spatial structure, for the formation and maintenance of which each device is equipped with a communication and mutual positioning system. According to a given program or by the operator’s command transmitted via a sonar modem, underwater vehicles are spatially realigned in accordance with the type of the simulated submarine, form a complex acoustic field of the submarine, which has the same temporal and spatial structure as the acoustic field of a real submarine.
EFFECT: increase in the reliability of imitation of a submarine without its real participation is achieved, an expansion of the functional capabilities in training exercises, ensuring the variability of its use in relation to various types of submarines, as well as improving the quality of training soundmen and sonar station personnel.
