FIELD: physical chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for measuring the levels of the interface of media in various industries. The sensing element of a capacitive level sensor is a housing for electrodes, which is a metal profile formed by connecting several tubes to each other, with a stiffening element. Each profile tube contains a vent and a slot. The housing contains electrodes rigidly fixed in each of the profile tubes, which are metal tubes having the same unit-length capacitance, but differing in length, and the main electrode is made along a length equal to the length of the housing for the electrodes, and each compensation electrode is made along a length smaller than the length of the main electrode. The sensing element is designed to be connected to the base of the capacitive sensor, and the main electrode and each compensation electrode are designed to be connected to the electronic computing unit of the sensor by means of metal rods connected to embedded bushings connected to holes for embedded bushings in the sensor housing.

EFFECT: increase in the reliability and manufacturability of the product, an increase in the accuracy of measurements of the level of the media interface.
