SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a system for providing an indication of the state of the coupling device of a towing vehicle. The system for indicating the status of the coupling device of the towing vehicle contains a sensor device (22), a light-emitting device (10), an optical waveguide (11) and an output structure (17; 18). The sensor device (22) is designed to determine the moment when the coupling pin of the specified coupling device is in the engagement position. The light-emitting device (10) is electrically connected to the sensor device (22) and is designed to emit a light signal that provides an indication of when the specified coupling pin is in the engagement position. The light-emitting device (10) is located near the sensor device (22). The optical waveguide (11) is designed to receive the specified light signal and the direction of the specified light signal. The output structure (17; 18) is designed to output the specified light signal from the specified optical waveguide.
EFFECT: improvement in the indication of the state of the coupling device is achieved.
