FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: bolster-coupler for roadtrain includes lidded body fixed to semitrailer support frame. In the body bushing is installed into which coupling pin is pressed. Between body and bushing, ring-shaped geared steel discs are placed. Upper part of bushing is connected via sline joint with external hub the external splined surface of which is connected with splines of the first ring-shaped splined steel disc located under/over the second ring-shaped splined steel disc connected with internal ring-shaped splined body surface. Working cavity inside the body where ring-shaped steel splined discs are placed is filled with ferrofluid and is bridged over by cartridge made of ring-shaped nonmagnetic material. Over the ring-shaped splined steel discs, electric magnet is located. In grooves of cartridge peripheral areas, magnetic O-rings are placed. The electric magnet is made capable to be connected periodically to electric power source by means of control device provided with optical truck-to-trailer relative angle encoder and with control panel with control modes indication, furthermore, two bronze bushings are installed between the body and pivot axle bushing and between hub and body lid.
EFFECT: higher reliability and response speed of the device.
