SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for concentrating resorcinol from aqueous solutions, which can be used to control the content of resorcinol in treated wastewater from chemical and food industry enterprises. The method includes sorption of resorcinol with a polymer powdered material, which is used as an acidic fine powder in an amount of 0.6-0.75 wt. % of the mass of the initial solution obtained from cellulose by treatment with sulfuric acid.

EFFECT: proposed method makes it possible to increase the concentration coefficient of resorcinol.
