FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to Doppler ultrasonography and can be used for monitoring the fetal heart rate and for associated technologies. The method for detecting the fetal movement includes: identifying pulse packets in the Doppler ultrasonic signal. Each pulse packet comprises a pulse sequence consisting of one or more pulses. Classifying each of the identified pulse packets as hiccup-related or non-hiccup-related, based on at least one characteristic of the identified pulse packets, suppressing the pulse packets of the Doppler ultrasonic signal classified as hiccup-related; and calculating the fetal heart rate from the Doppler ultrasonic signal wherein the pulse packets classified as hiccup-related are suppressed.
EFFECT: more accurate determining of the fetal heart rate, identification of the differences between the pulse packets in the Doppler ultrasonic signal attributable to the fetal heart contraction from the pulse packets attributable to fetal hiccups, and suppression of the latter during computational processing of the fetal heart rate data, creation of a low-cost system for accurate determining of the fetal heart rate and determination of the threshold value used to effectively distinguish between the fetal heart contractions and fetal hiccups.
