FIELD: space technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to motion control of a spacecraft (SC) with an electric rocket correction engine (ERCE), which includes operational refinement of the thrust of the ERCE for the formation of long-term plans for the correction of the spacecraft’s orbit. According to the method, in flight, verification and corrective actions are applied to the spacecraft, the temperature of the working fluid is measured at the outlet of the accelerating channel of the ERCE, and the values obtained are averaged over the entire measurement interval. When determining the thrust (F), the well-known dependence of F (I, U) on the current (I) and voltage (U) in the ERCE the specified temperature (T) is taken into account, for which either its average value or the corresponding technical characteristic of the ERCE is taken.
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of correction of the parameters of the spacecraft orbit and reducing the information load on the ground control system.
