FIELD: thermal power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to thermal power engineering in the field of protection of heat exchange equipment, boilers, pipelines and other metal elements at power plants, boiler houses, industrial enterprises in the production of steam, obtaining hot water for water supply networks, obtaining desalinated and softened water for feeding steam boilers. Non-thermal deaeration of water is carried out by filtering water containing oxygen through a filter material with a highly developed branched open porous structure. The filter material is regenerated using sodium metabisulfite as a regeneration solution. The spent regeneration solution is diluted by mixing with water to a mineralization level of <1000 mg/dm3 and discharged into the sewer.
EFFECT: invention provides for the removal of oxygen from water at low temperatures.
