The effect is achieved by the fact that the known short-circuit current limiter containing a power supply network, a switch, a transformer including a magnetic circuit with a two-way winding, a load, a controlled spark gap, according to the invention, is equipped with a matching resistor, and the two-way winding of the transformer magnetic circuit is made of two isolated from each the other with dielectric films of the first and second wires in the form of a metal foil, and the beginning of the first wire and the end of the second wire form a series circuit, containing a power supply network, a switch and a load, and the beginning of the second wire and the end of the first wire are connected to a series connection of a controlled spark gap and a matching resistor.

EFFECT: increasing the reliability of work, increasing the speed, provided by the simplicity of its circuit design.
