FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of agricultural engineering. The apparatus comprises a digging share (1) and a rod-type separating grate (2) installed following the share, placed wherein are two helical spirals (7 and 8), rotating and cantilevered by the back ends thereof, phase-shifted by 180° relative to each other. One of the spirals (8) is made with the outer diameter increasing to the fixed end thereof. The rods of the separating grate (2) are located across the direction of the working movement of the apparatus and are spring-loaded, configured to move in this direction relative to each other. The spirals (7 and 8) have a pitch increasing towards the back ends thereof. The spiral (7) with a constant outer diameter is made with the inner diameter reducing in the direction of the back end thereof due to the increase in the height of the turn thereof in this direction. The spiral (8) with an increasing outer diameter has wave-like irregularities on the inner surface thereof, decreasing in the direction to the back end of the spiral.

EFFECT: quality of separation of root crops from the soil is improved.
