FIELD: space technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of space technology, and more specifically to adapters for connecting compartments and blocks of aircraft. The adapter contains truncated conical shell made entirely with two end frames of different diameters. The upper frame of adapter is provided with holes evenly spaced along it, made to ensure that mounting elements of the upper frame with payload can be placed in it. The adapter is made with a height not less than 6 times smaller than diameter of the lower frame. The adapter shell is made with a smooth increase in its thickness during transition from frame with a smaller diameter to frame with a larger diameter, and inclination angles forming outer and inner surfaces of the shell to longitudinal axis of adapter are chosen close to 45 and 50 degrees, respectively. The shell is equipped with cutouts made in form of isosceles triangles with rounded top, the sides of which are connected to support nodes of adapter lower frame. Each of cutouts is made with a height not less than 2 times less than the height of the adapter. In each of longitudinal planes aligned with axes of support nodes holes of adapter lower frame, and in each of longitudinal planes aligned with vertices of these cutouts, the axis of one of the holes of the upper frame is placed.
EFFECT: expansion of functionality is achieved.
