FIELD: membrane composting.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of membrane composting and concerns compostable multilayer membrane (10) for cartridges containing soluble products or products suitable for boiling using pressurized water containing first barrier layer (11) containing compostable barrier membrane, first metallization layer (12), intermediate layer (13) containing at least one adhesive, second barrier layer (14) containing compostable barrier membrane. Compostable multilayer membrane (10) differs in that it contains layer (18) containing heat-resistant varnish next to first barrier layer (11) on the opposite side relatively to a side, on which metallization layer (12) is deposited, second metallization layer (17) located between intermediate layer (13) and specified second barrier layer (14), wherein the specified compostable barrier membrane of specified first barrier layer (11) and specified second barrier layer (14) is not made of cellulose material, so specified compostable multilayer membrane (10) has an OTR value less than 0.5 cubic cm/m2/day/atm. The invention also relates to cartridges (1) for soluble products or products suitable for boiling using pressurized water containing case (2) made of compostable or biodegradable material that restricts hermetically sealed volume (3) at two opposite bases (4, 5), which contains a soluble or suitable for boiling product, and at least one compostable multilayer membrane (10) according to the invention.

EFFECT: invention provides for the production of a lid element, i.e., membrane or lid for a cartridge, which is compostable and can provide a barrier for the cartridge, supporting the purpose of the latter, namely dosing of the product by boiling the medium under pressure.
