FIELD: construction materials.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of building materials and a method for the production of portland cement clinker, and specifically to a method for adjusting and controlling the crystalline form of alite in a portland cement clinker through the reaction of gas with a solid. The method for adjusting and controlling the crystalline form of alite in a portland cement clinker by reaction of a gas with a solid substance includes the following steps: (1) grinding of the portland cement clinker to obtain a solid material from it, while the size of the solid particles of the portland cement clinker does not exceed 5 mm; (2) heating the solid material of the portland cement clinker obtained at stage (1) to 600-1100°C in a mixed gas atmosphere of SO2 and air, and maintaining the temperature to ensure the reaction for 0.5-2 hours, while the volume fraction of SO2 is from 5 to 10%; and (3) cooling to room temperature after completion of the reaction.

EFFECT: increase in the mechanical and operational properties of concrete and its products, as well as improved quality of the cement itself by increasing the content of alite.
