FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: method for affecting a target, wherein, jointly with an electrical effect, the target is affected by a bright flash of light or a loud sound, or simultaneous or consecutive impact thereof occurring near the target. The apparatus for implementation of the method for affecting a target with a remote-action electric shock apparatus comprises an output electrode made in the form of a probe thrown in the direction of the target using a propellant charge, compressed air, a spring, or by another method, connected by a flexible electrical conductor with the corresponding input electrical contact of the apparatus, electrically communicating with the working electrodes of the electric shock apparatus. The apparatus comprises light and sound charges thrown in the direction of the target simultaneously with said probe or in advance thereof, or lagging behind said probe, or in a combination of advance, simultaneity, and lagging. Light and sound charges are placed in the cavity of the thrown probe or on the surface thereof, or partially in the cavity and partially on the surface of the probe. An element for protecting the target from flying products of sound or light charge, made in the form of a cap (umbrella), is placed on the body of the probe.

EFFECT: increase in the effectiveness of the impact of electric shock apparatuses.
