FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical engineering and can be used for processing deep holes in long tube blanks. The method includes piercing a workpiece with a multi-toothed punching tool under conditions of boundary lubrication by throttling the loobricant-coolant (LC) supplied to the processing zone between the teeth of the punching tool from its body through an orsev canal through the radial channel outlets. The LC is pushed through the slotted grooves of the tool teeth in the direction of the mandrel movement and in the direction opposite to its movement. The dependence for determining the speed of the punching tool is given.
EFFECT: invention provides increased tool life and the quality of deep hole processing.
