FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture and can be used in the cultivation of sugar beets. A method for increasing the yield of sugar beet involves the treatment of vegetative plants with 2-(4-bromobenzylsulfanyl)-4,6-dimethylnicotinonitrile of formula (I)
in the amount of 20 g/ha in the phase of 8-10 leaves and 20 g/ha in the phase of closing in the rows.
EFFECT: proposed method for increasing the yield of sugar beet provides an increase in the quality of the crop, in particular, an increase in the sugar content of the sugar beet.
