FIELD: measuring technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control and measuring technology, in particular to the field of methods for controlling the thickness of coatings in electron beam evaporation installations. The method for continuous monitoring of the thickness of the ceramics sprayed on the blades consists in determining the thickness of the sprayed coating according to a control sample placed in the same chamber with the blades. Before the start of the working spraying, experimentally, at a given spraying speed and temperature of the blades, the dependence of the thickness of the layer sprayed on the blades on the weight gain on the control sample is determined and a calibration graph is built. During the entire working spraying cycle, the spraying speed, the heating temperature of the blades, as well as the weight gain on the control sample are continuously monitored. The spraying process is stopped when the weight gain is reached on the control sample corresponding to the required thickness of the sprayed layer on the blades according to a preprepared calibration schedule.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the accuracy of measuring the thickness of the sprayed layer of ceramics on the blades, and, accordingly, to improve the quality of products, reduce the number of blades with an under-sprayed or over-sprayed layer of ceramics intended for repeated preparation and redeposition.
