FIELD: materials granulation.

SUBSTANCE: granulation of the material takes place by cutting and/or breaking apart portions of the agglomerate at the edges of the holes, preferably at the edges of the holes opposite the approaching blade. Granulator of granular material with a flat matrix with a drive device, complete with a motor with a gear wheel, a shaft, a feed hopper and an unload hopper, is made at least in the form of a single-level structure, in which at the first level the shaft is attached to an inner casing with a set of blades reaching the outer casing and resting on a flat matrix, while the blades are located relative to the plane of the flat matrix at an angle of inclination alpha from 5 to 50°. In a two-level granulator design, the first level follows the second level in the vertical direction, and the shaft can be common to both levels. The flat die is made in the form of a sieve or a perforated sheet with the shape of holes from a triangle to a semicircular ellipse with an inclined, strongly conical shape, or a perforated sheet with round holes.

EFFECT: obtaining granules of the required size without the formation of a large amount of dust or powdery particles at high productivity.
