FIELD: polymer industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of high-molecular compounds, namely to a method for producing polymer hydrogels of the amphoteric type based on hydrolyzed polyacrylamide, which can be used, for example, as a sorbent. The method for producing a polyampholytic hydrogel involves the interaction of a compound containing carboxyl groups and an organic base. Hydrolyzed polyacrylamide is used as a compound containing carboxyl groups. Aliphatic diamine is used as an organic base. The initial components are taken in a molar ratio from 1:0.05 to 1: 0.2. The process is carried out for 110-130 minutes at a temperature of 40÷55°C.
EFFECT: simplification of the technology for producing polyampholytic hydrogel by eliminating the use of an initiator and a crosslinking agent while increasing the degree of swelling of polyampholytic hydrogel when removing colored impurities from wastewater.
