FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shipbuilding, namely to centrifugal propellers. The centrifugal propeller consists of a hexagonal hub mounted on a transverse propeller shaft between two discs and six long composite blades. Each blade consists of three parts of rectangular shape and at different distances from the shaft: the head, the water supply and the water discharge, forming a broken line curved in an arc in the direction opposite to the direction of rotation of the disks. The head parts of the blade are fixed on the edges of the hexagonal hub and form angles of 60 degrees between them, providing them with a shock-free entry into the water and entrainment of the water-feeding and water-throwing blades along the long side, which are fixed on the support rods. The support rods with their ends enter through holes on the disks arranged in such a way that they let the blades change their position relative to the surface of the water when the disks rotate and enter the water in a shockless mode without a mechanism for turning them.
EFFECT: simplicity of the design of the propulsion and its efficiency in operation is achieved.
