FIELD: electrical equipment elements.
SUBSTANCE: invention of the smoothing reactor relates to elements of electrical equipment, in particular to electric reactors and transformers, and can be used in devices for smooth starting of electric motors of powerful mechanisms. To achieve the effect, within the framework of the invention, high technical and economic indicators have been achieved by reducing the weight of the rods, the cross-section of the frame profile, the cross-section of the ties, the thickness of the plates, increasing the insulation distances from the windings to the grounded parts of the reactor by installing insulating discs at the ends of the rods, installing a dielectric shield plate between windings. Increasing the insulating distances from the windings to the grounded parts and installing a dielectric shield plate between the windings made it possible to increase the voltage class of the reactor. To protect the windings from overvoltage in emergency modes, an overvoltage arrester is installed parallel to the winding.
EFFECT: reducing the labor intensity of manufacturing and the consumption of basic materials, as well as expanding the operating voltage range of the reactor during operation in UBPVD-S devices with a voltage of 10 kV.
