FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: method can be used in systems for feeding liquid fuel into combustion chamber of aircraft engines during their operation, in fuel lines of oil refining complexes and other fuel systems. To remove oxygen, liquid fuel is simultaneously exposed to ultrasound to form cavitation bubbles in liquid fuel and an inhomogeneous electric field. Field is created by means of an internal positive electrode placed in the centre of the liquid fuel flow and an external negative electrode limiting the flow of liquid fuel, wherein exposure to ultrasound and non-uniform electric field is carried out in direction from centre to periphery of liquid fuel flow, values of frequency and amplitude of ultrasound sound pressure are selected from the condition of their compliance with specified inequality, and then fuel is supplied to combustion chamber.
EFFECT: increased area of collection of oxygen bubbles and possibility to control their drift speed.
