SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the area of hair cutting apparatuses. The hair cutting assembly for use in a shaving apparatus comprises an external cutting element and an internal cutting element with hair cutting elements. The hair cutting assembly also includes a support element and a retaining component. The retaining element of the external cutting element is retained between the first retaining element of the retaining component and the second retaining element of the support element in an axial direction parallel to the axis of rotation. The connecting structure comprises a first guide part made on the support element and a second guide part made on the retaining component. The first and second guide parts interact with each other when the retaining component is in any angular position between a first angular position and a second angular position around the axis of rotation relative to the support element. The retaining element of the external cutting element is configured to move between the first and second retaining elements parallel to the axis of rotation at a distance equal to the distance of impact.
