FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to cardiovascular surgery. When the temperature in the esophagus lumen decreases to 24 °C, the ratio of the inhalation and exhalation phases is forced changed against the background of a deep chest excursion with the inhalation-to-exhalation phase ratio of 3:1. When recording temperature in the lumen of esophagus below 20 °C, the cryotherapy is stopped and the forced change in the ratio of the inhalation and exhalation phases is continued to the upward temperature trend.
EFFECT: method is highly effective, non-traumatic, enables to displace structures of mediastinum and increase distance between balloon in mouth of pulmonary vein and wall of esophagus, due to which the cold effect on the esophageal tissues is limited, but at the same time it is possible to complete the effective application in the pulmonary vein mouth.
