FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to cardiology. Cryodestruction of the right and left pulmonary arteries is performed by means of a point catheter of the cryosurgical console Cardiac Cryoablation System, Medtronic, in the process of which the anatomy of the pulmonary artery is evaluated. That is ensured by control angiography through an introducer. Cryocathater is then brought to the bifurcation area of the pulmonary artery by means of an introducer. Performing applications, wherein the tip of the catheter is moved under the fluoroscopic control at distance of 2 mm from the initial position by turning the handle on or counterclockwise. Cold application is performed at the following parameters: reaching the temperature of −80 °C with duration of exposure on each point of 120 s, wherein the minimum number of applications is 10 at the mouth of each pulmonary artery. That is followed by 10 applications in the terminal area of the pulmonary trunk. Balloon catheter on the conductor is brought in parallel to the previous electrode to the level of the electrode. It is followed by bloating by reducing diameter of artery till contact of electrode of artery endothelium catheter. Size of the balloon catheter is determined intraoperatively.

EFFECT: method enables achieving significant reduction of pulmonary artery pressure that enables improving quality and life expectancy in patients with pulmonary hypertension of various geneses.
