METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE TYPE OF INFECTIOUS AND ASEPTIC PARAPROSTHETIC/PARAIMPLANT POSTOPERATIVE COMPLICATIONS FOLLOWING PROSTHETIC REPAIR OF LARGE JOINTS Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC G01N33/48 A61B10/02

Abstract RU 2766803 C2

FIELD: medicine; surgery; traumatology; orthopedics; purulent surgery.

SUBSTANCE: to determine the type of infectious and aseptic paraprosthetic/paraimplant postoperative complications following prosthetic repair of large joints, cytological examination of cell composition of punctate from area of endoprosthesis and discharge from wounds and fistulas is performed. Characteristic of the cell composition of the cytograms of the analyzed materials is used to determine the type of postoperative complication: paraprosthetic/paraimplant infection, paraprosthetic/paraimplant aseptic reaction of proliferative type, paraprosthetic/paraimplant aseptic reaction of alternative-allergic type, paraprosthetic/paraimplant granulomatosis of primary-infected type, paraprosthetic/paraimplant granulomatosis of secondary-infected type, paraprosthetic/paraimplant granulomatosis of infectious-allergic type.

EFFECT: method enables to quickly determine the type of infectious and aseptic paraprosthetic/paraimplant postoperative complications after prosthetic repair of large joints, to select an adequate amount of treatment, as well as to evaluate the treatment results.
