FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: boom structure (1) comprises central section (2) and two lateral masts (3, 3') located on one side and on the other side of central section (2) and formed by at least one side section each. Single section (4), each section (4) or at least one of sections (4) of each lateral masts (3, 3') has a prismatic shape of triangular section with height (h), gradually decreasing from one end to another of considered section (4). Single section (4), each section (4) or at least one of sections (4) of each lateral masts (3, 3') is formed by assembly of tubular elements, containing, on one side, vertex longitudinal tube (5) and two lower longitudinal tubes (6) forming three prism ribs and three vertices of triangular cross-section, and, on the other side, elongated connecting elements (7, 7'), preferably tubular, forming struts and braces passing between vertex tube (5) and two lower tubes (6) and forming two lattice lateral sides (4') of the prism formed by section (4) in question and the sides of the triangle, if viewed in section. Gap between the two lower tubes (6), i.e. the width (l) of the base of the triangle and the prism, varies similarly to the height (h) from one longitudinal end to the other of section (4) under consideration. End of the larger section of each section (4) is connected to or directed to central section (2). All connecting elements (7, 7') connecting vertex tube (5) with one of two lower tubes (6) are located in one plane (P, P'), which forms one of two lateral sides (4') of prism and one from two sides of triangle. Connection means (8) between said connecting elements (7, 7') and said tubes (5, 6) form attachment points with rotary link (8'), which is preferably detachable. Machine for spraying or splattering of trailed, mounted or self-propelled type contains, in particular, at least one tank, means of pumping a substance, one or more distribution circuits and a boom on which the substance spraying means are installed, wherein the boom has the above-described boom design.
EFFECT: providing a boom design optimized in terms of weight and bending moment.
