FIELD: mining industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the design of a power element used in the mining industry for power separation from an array of monolithic rock blocks, during the passage of workings, as well as in mechanical engineering as a power drive. The power element is made in the form of a cylinder body formed by longitudinal segments with a cavity in the central part with an elastic element and a wedge spacer displacing the segments. The segments are connected to each other by means of end holders-bases with means of sealing and supplying liquid into the cavity of the elastic element. The cylinder body is made in the form of at least three longitudinal segments with the possibility of their uniform radial displacement by means of at least three wedge spacers in contact with the elastic element. The edges of the longitudinal elements of the internal cavity of the body are rounded with a radius equal to 0.1 - 0.3 of the outer diameter of the elastic element. The end surface of the wedge spacer in contact with the elastic element is made convex or straight or concave.
EFFECT: increasing the reliability and efficiency of the power element, expanding its technological capabilities associated with the application of multidirectional forces around the perimeter of the cylindrical part of the power element and reducing the wear of the elastic chamber.
