FIELD: engine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to detonation engines. Disclosed is a method of operating a detonation engine, which includes a control unit, a compressor, a turbine and two single-type detonation units 1, 2, which alternately inject exhaust gases into turbine 3. Part of the flow of gases injected into the turbine from one detonation unit is used to compress air in the other detonation unit with subsequent implementation of a working stroke in it.
EFFECT: invention allows simplifying the design, improving the engine reliability and improving its economic and ecological properties.
