FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics, and can be used for surgical treatment of swan neck deformation of fingers in patients with cerebral palsy. An S-shaped approach is performed along the lateral surface of the finger. Further, a finger extensor tendon is separated and displaced in the direction of the back of the hand. Then, an angularly stable plate is inserted on bone, and the interphalangeal joint is fixed with six cortical screws placed in the proximal and middle phalanges in a flexion position of 20°.
EFFECT: method provides higher functionality of the hand by temporary fixation of the metacarpophalangeal joints of the fingers in a functionally advantageous flexion position due to the stability of the arthrodesis with the installed metal structure and the possibility of maintaining motions in the interphalangeal joints.
