FIELD: electrical communication equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of detecting current-conducting and ferromagnetic objects using induction coils which generate an alternating magnetic field. Group of inventions comprises methods consisting in converting voltages from a sensor coil and a capacitor, comparing them by adding or subtracting from a constant voltage, note here that deviation of the resultant constant voltage in the process of target search by more than the voltage value of the minimum possible detection threshold of the signal reflected from the target indicates its detection. Group of inventions also includes devices for implementing the methods, comprising: an alternating voltage generator, serial oscillatory LC-circuit consisting of a coil of a metal detector, characterized by that it is equipped with indication and correction modules, optical isolation, two power supplies.

EFFECT: improved reliability of detection of reflected signal from target in induction, resonant metal detector in presence of destabilizing factors.
