FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydraulic engineering, namely to drainage systems providing organized drainage of filtration water from ground dams. Disclosed invention allows to solve the problem of failure of drainage systems of earth dams under conditions of prolonged exposure to negative ambient air temperatures. To solve the problem in the drainage system of earth dam with upstream and downstream slopes, including as well as prototype, perforated pipes laid in horizontal rows, between which filtering layers are arranged, and a water-collecting manifold laid at the dam base with the possibility of drainage of filtration water to the lower pool, in contrast to the prototype, an additional row of pipes is included, laid under the downstream slope of the dam with an inclination equal to the angle of the slope, and interfaced with water-collecting manifold, note here that perforated pipes are located in the dam body and connected by their outlets with additional pipes, in turn, the entire drainage system is located at a depth exceeding the depth of soil freezing.
EFFECT: invention can be used in erection of dams using sandy soils as material and built on freezing bases.
