FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and a device for extracting lithium from lithium-containing ores. Lithium-containing ore is crushed to an average particle size of 0.1 to 1,000 mcm to obtain crushed crude ore, after which annealing is carried out at a calcination temperature of more than 900 °C to obtain calcined crushed raw ore. It is possible to carry out the stage of secondary grinding of calcined crushed raw ore. An aqueous medium containing a suspension of calcined crushed crude ore with concentration of solid substances from 0.1 to 60 wt. % is obtained. Calcined crushed raw ore is exposed to acidic extraction medium with partial pressure of CO2 from 0.1 to 300 bar, at extraction temperature from 20 to 350 °C, for 1 to 1,000 minutes. Lithium carbonate and/or lithium bicarbonate of technical grade is obtained in solution from extraction medium. Device includes means for producing said aqueous medium, means for exposing ore to extraction medium, under said conditions, as well as an agent for producing lithium carbonate and/or lithium bicarbonate of technical grade from an extraction medium.
EFFECT: high degree of extraction of lithium while simplifying the process.
