FIELD: pipe rolling.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a pipe-rolling tool, namely to working tools for pilger rolling of thin-walled titanium pipes. The working tool consists of a mandrel and a pair of symmetrical gauges. The mandrel is made in the form of a metal rod of circular cross section with a variable diameter, having a crimping, pre-calibrating and calibrating zones. A stream of variable cross section is made on the cylindrical surface of the caliber. The profile of the mandrel in the swaging and pre-gauging zone has a concave curved line, the shape of which is determined from the conditions of uniform distribution of the tubing factor along the length of the swaging section. The stream of variable section has a length of crimping, pre-finishing and calibrating zones of decreasing cross section. In the swaging and pre-finishing zones, the radius of the central arc is made with a decreasing value, and in the calibrating zone, it is constant, equal to the radius of the finished pipe. The coefficient of collapse in the crimping zone is no more than 3%, in the sizing zone no more than 1%. The surface roughness of the strand in the sizing zone has Ra 0.63…0.32 mcm.
EFFECT: increasing the strength of the pipe in the radial direction due to the formation of a radial texture of the material.
