FIELD: mixing.

SUBSTANCE: invention generally relates to mixing of fluids and, more specifically, to stationary or static mixing devices for mixing fluids and a method of producing a static mixing device. Static mixing device subunit, which can be connected to other static mixing device subunits to form static mixing device. Sub-assembly comprises first pair of intersecting grids (14, 16) of spaced apart and parallel deflecting blades (18, 20) and a second pair of intersecting grids (14, 16) of spaced apart and parallel deflecting blades (18, 20). Deflecting blades in each grid alternate with deflecting blades in the conjugated intersecting grid and have uncut side parts, which connect them to each other along transverse strip (38), where deflecting blades intersect with each other, and cut side parts, which pass from uncut side parts to ends of deflecting blades. Each deflecting blade in one of the grids in each pair of grids has curved part (40), which places segments of deflecting blade on opposite sides of uncut part in offset parallel planes.

EFFECT: higher strength of static mixing devices by reducing the number of welded joints without casting subassemblies.
