SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to hair coloring and bleaching. Method of dyeing or bleaching hair involves applying to hair a composition comprising a dyeing agent or a hair bleaching agent; and simultaneous application to hair of a composition comprising compounds of one or both of formulas given below: 
, in which R1-R4 independently denote hydrogen, a hydrocarbon radical containing 1–10 carbon atoms or a hydroxy group, R5 and R6 independently denote hydrogen or an aliphatic hydrocarbon group substituted with at least one hydroxy group; R'1-R'4 independently denote hydrogen, a hydrocarbon radical containing 1–10 carbon atoms or a hydroxy group; R'5 and R'6 independently denote hydrogen or an aliphatic hydrocarbon group substituted with at least one hydroxy group, except for the case when R'5 and R'6 simultaneously denote hydrogen atoms. Also disclosed are a set and use of the method for bleaching or dyeing hair.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides increasing color intensity, reducing hair damage and repairing damaged hair.
