FIELD: cosmonautics.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to methods and means for removing items of space debris (ISD) from the near-Earth space. Magnetically susceptible (including electrically conductive) ISDs are captured by the magnetic field of the toroidal winding of the space vehicle (SV) and accumulated in the cylindrical central volume of the SV, equipped with doors. The filling of said volume with ISDs is controlled by induction coils. Upon filling the volume, the doors are closed, and the SV is transferred by means of electric jet engines to the ISD collection (burial) orbit, wherein the doors are opened to unload the ISDs. The SV performs a maneuver of transitioning to the orbit of collection of new ISDs.

EFFECT: ensured controlled removal of captured ISDs from the cleaned area of the near-Earth space.
