METHOD FOR SURGICAL TREATMENT OF INJURIES OF THE DISTAL TENDON OF THE BICEPS BRACHII Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61B17/56 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics, and can be used for surgical treatment of injuries of the distal tendon of the biceps brachii muscle. The tendon is reinserted to the tuberosity of the radius, for this purpose a hole is formed at an angle of 60-90° to the axis of the diaphysis of the radius, open proximally, and at an angle of 30° to the ulnar side. Then, a hole is formed on the ventral surface of the radius, corresponding to the diameter of the distal end of the tendon and a depth equal to half the diameter of the diaphysis of the radius. Next, the ligatures are threaded into the eye of a needle with a diameter of 1.5-2 mm, which is carried out on the dorsal surface of the radius through the formed hole. Then, subperiosteally along the medial surface of the radius, the pin with ligatures is brought back into the wound on the anterior surface of the forearm, the ligatures are sutured to the sutured tendon with the capture of different loops of the tendon suture and a knot is formed.

EFFECT: method allows to reduce the time for restoring the full range of motion in the elbow joint due to minimally invasive technique while maintaining the integrity of the supinator muscle, reliable anatomically and biomechanically justified fixation of the distal tendon of the biceps brachii muscle in the formed canal of the tuberosity of the radius.
